Teenagers Arrested In Village Drugs Raid

Police have arrested a woman and a group of youths following a drugs operation in Keresley.

A team of 14 officers in a specialist operation swooped on the village yesterday. It followed complaints about drug use by youths in the village.

They arrested youths on suspicion of supplying and possession of drugs. They came from the Keresley and Foleshill area.

A 43-year-old woman was arrested for unrelated matters and went before magistrates, accused of breaking bail conditions.

The others arrested were:

A 14-year-old on suspicion of intent to supply cannabis – he was bailed,

Two 16 year-old youths were arrested on suspicion of possession of cannabis, both were bailed,

A 15-year-old for possession of an offensive weapon who was later released without charge.
