Two masked raiders struggled
with shop staff at a Bulkington convenience store before fleeing with
money from the till.
Both raiders in the attack on
the Spa store in Leicester Street, Bulkington were wearing crash helmets
when the raid took place at 10.30pm.
Two hours earlier they had
pulled up outside the shop on a motorbike, bought something, and left.
Then when they returned, the two
male shop staff were standing by the counter talking to two customers.
One of the men started shouting
and swinging his arms around.
He was pushed towards the door
by one of the staff members, but managed to force his way back.
The second offender started
kicking at a wooden half-door that led to the area behind the counter.
This caused the till to pop
open. The attacker began taking cash out but one of the staff members
tried to close his fingers in the till, and was smashed around the face.
The pair then fled on a white
Honda motorcycle with £80 cash.
The taller attacker, who was
shouting, is 6ft and was wearing a black full-face helmet. He is slim
and was wearing black leathers and white gloves.
His accomplice is 5ft 7in, thin
and was wearing a black motorcycle helmet and leathers.
